A Big Night Out? It’s All In The Planning
We’ve all been there: someone suggests getting together one night for a few beers, the invites go out on Facebook, the word spreads and suddenly the whole thing’s been built up into The Mother of All Big Nights Out. And seeing as it was your great idea in the first place, the pressure, my friend, is suddenly on…
That’s where you need to play it smart. And it’s also where technology comes in handy. Thing is, Bing is a search engine that does things differently. You probably rely on Google to research places to go, but imagine what could happen if you searched somewhere new – what if you gave Bing a go?
Well, James Buckley – otherwise known as The Inbetweeners’ Jay – hosted a night out last week in London’s trendy Shoreditch to celebrate Bing’s 5th birthday. And what began as an innocuous beer or two soon turned into a wild celebration of colour, song and creativity in honour of Bing’s fifth birthday – while searching where to go next via Bing.
Throughout the night James challenged people on Twitter to ‘try something new’ by finding him using clues which could only be solved using Bing. Those who found him, as he weaved the streets of Shoreditch, were met with some amazing surprises involving colour explosions, a ukulele jamming session and more! Needless to say it’s gone down as a night we won’t be forgetting anytime soon.
See how James’ awesome night out unravelled below. It might just inspire you to Bing it On next time you plan a night out.
