Getting it all and getting it NOW

From Royal Babies to Referendums, and X-Factor tears to England footballers getting back to winning ways, there is lots happening right now. Actually, there’s lots happening ALWAYS, and the never ending challenge is to stay on top of everything (especially if you want to win friends and influence people on a regular basis). Which is why the new-look MSN portal suddenly makes a lot of sense.

Thing is, there’s the latest stuff you want to know about, from pop stars and politicians to football and food – and there’s stuff that gets you through your day, from email and OneNote projects to Bing Maps to Facebook. And guess what the redesigned MSN gives you? Yes, everything.

Well, everything you want – if you’re more into fashion catwalks than football scores, you easily add, remove and shuffle sections. But whatever it is that rocks your world, the main thing is that all content comes from people who REALLY know what they’re talking about: from The Daily Telegraph and New York Times to Conde Nast and AOL.

And alongside all this latest stuff is a ‘Services Stripe’ that lets you hover over icons covering off everything that helps you get things done on a daily basis – from email, Office 365, projects and social media to shopping lists, and Xbox Music and Skype. Better still, lots of personalised content will sync across platforms.

And the new, super-powered MSN apps launching later this year will mean you can search even quicker and more easily; if, for instance, you’re feeling a bit peckish, you can search for a recipe, find one you like and in one click convert the ingredients into a shopping list – which will roam from the web onto your mobile app, so you have it when you need it; in the shops not on the printer at work. Cool.
