Rudimental are an award-winning group

Rudimental to perform chart topping tracks with full orchestra – remixed using new Microsoft Surface Pro 4

Love British artists? A fan of music? …then get ready for our latest collaboration. Following on from previous creative projects such as The Power of the Pen, this collaboration explores how this contemporary artisan device is evolving both art and music production.

This time, we have brought together award-winning group RUDIMENTAL, acclaimed British composer David William Hearn, and Bristol-based street artist Will Barras to create orchestral remixes of three of RUDIMENTAL’s hit singles – Waiting All Night, Lay It All On Me, and Bloodstream.

For the last few weeks these three creatives have been writing, drawing and scoring together, to produce a live show that blends drum n bass sounds with orchestral power and dynamic street art. This entire project has been developed using the new Surface Pro 4, showcasing its power and performance.  At the heart of this collaboration is the new Pen which allows precision drawing, and the ability to use the music-writing app, Staffpad, created for Surface. Staffpad is a powerful and sophisticated music-writing and composition tool, developed by our composer David William Hearn.
