Xbox One S

Unboxed: The Xbox One S is here!

At E3 earlier this year, Microsoft unveiled its latest console, the Xbox One S.

The new console has a sleeker design and is 40% smaller than the current Xbox One. It features a new wireless controller with textured grip and Bluetooth support as well as a built in power supply.

The Xbox One S is also the first and only console to feature High Dynamic Range – enhancing the colour and picture – to support 4K video, stream 4K Ultra HD content from services like Netflix and play 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.

With HDR support for video and gaming, Xbox One games like Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3 will look even better thanks to a higher contrast ratio between lights and darks, bringing out the true visual depth of your favourite games.

The 2TB launch edition has sold out at most retailers but Microsoft has also announced a Gears of War 4 2TB bundle available for pre-order for £399.99. There will more to come in the weeks ahead on 1TB and 500GB Xbox One S consoles, which will roll out later this year.

You can see the 2TB model being unboxed in the below video, which is in 4K Ultra HD:
