Microsoft releases special Minecraft Xbox One S bundle

Microsoft has released a special Minecraft Xbox One S bundle that brings together a range of texture and skin packs.

The new set includes tokens for Xbox and Windows 10 versions of the game and an Xbox Live membership, so players can work together to build worlds up to 16 times bigger than on the Xbox 360.

People can also continue their Xbox 360 game on the new Xbox One and Windows 10 versions.

Harvey Eagle, Xbox UK Marketing Director, said: “We’ve seen great success since the Xbox One S was launched, and are delighted to add a Minecraft bundle to our line-up for the first time. Minecraft players will receive the Favourites and Builders packs, alongside a copy of the game in a custom box design.”

The Xbox One S Minecraft Favourites bundle, which boasts more than 230 character skins, three texture packs and seven mash-up packs, includes:

  • Xbox One S console (500GB) with built-in 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player, and 4K video streaming plus HDR for video and gaming – so you can experience richer, more luminous colours.
  • New Xbox One S wireless controller with expanded range and Bluetooth support for Windows 10 PCs.
  • Minecraft: Xbox One Edition download code, with enhanced performance and 16x bigger worlds compared to the Xbox 360 Edition.
  • Minecraft: Xbox One Edition Favourites Pack download code, which features the Festive Mash-up Pack, Halo Mash-up, Fantasy Texture Pack, Natural Texture Pack, City Texture Pack, Battle and Beasts Skin Pack and Battle & Beasts 2 Skin Pack.
  • Minecraft: Xbox One Edition Builder’s Pack download code, which includes Biome Settlers Skin Pack, Cartoon Texture Pack, Candy Texture Pack, Plastic Texture Pack, Pattern Texture Pack and the Greek Mythology Mash-up.
  • Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition Beta download code.
  • 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial membership.

“Families can benefit from new innovations like next-generation 4K video streaming and 4K UHD Blu-ray, watch their favourite shows via apps like Netflix and Amazon Video, and play more than 250 compatible Xbox 360 titles. In addition, parents can customise a range of settings and controls to ensure a safe, online experience for their children,” Eagle added.

“For those looking ahead to Christmas and picking up additional games, there’s also a great range of Xbox One titles appealing to the whole family, from FIFA 17 and Skylanders Imaginators to the critically-acclaimed Forza Horizon 3. There’s never been a better time to own an Xbox One.”
