Titanfall lands in the UK

One of the most anticipated games of 2014 has finally landed. Titanfall has launched in the UK today, Friday 14th March, and what better way to celebrate its arrival than by enlisting some help from Titan Pilots.

On Thursday morning, free runners dressed as Pilots from the game performed breathtaking stunts for London commuters along Millennium Bridge and the South. From wall-running to death-defying leaps with the iconic St Pauls Catchedral in the background, the Pilots emulated the acrobatic skills that players can perform in the game.

In the evening, the Boiler House at the Old Truman Brewery was transformed into a war-torn scene from the game. Fans and celebrity attendees including Jonathan Ross, The Voice UK judge Ricky Wilson and Professor Green, played the first truly next generation multiplayer game as parkour free-runners staged a series of stunts including wall running across the venue.

Projected on a huge screen was #TitanBrawl – where Xbox’s AceyBongos and Electronic Arts’s ActionMan led teams of pro-gamers and competition winners to battle it out for the highest score against the online community, with big prizes for the winners.

Elsewhere, thousands of gamers queued late into the night across the UK to be the first to pick up their copy of “Titanfall”. Currently the highest-scoring game on Xbox One and exclusive to Xbox & PC, the game is expected to break Xbox One sales records and be one of the best-selling titles this year.

Xbox UK Marketing Director, Harvey Eagle said: “Titanfall is the most anticipated game of the year. It’s already won more than 80 awards from critics around the world.
