Biggest Forza Motorsport 7 event of the year with $100,000 prize to be held in UK

Gamers will battle it out in the UK next month to win a share of $100,000 in the biggest Forza championship event of the year.

Twenty-four of the top Forza Motorsport 7 players from across the world will take part in the Forza Racing World Championship 2018 in London.

The event will be held at the Gfinity Esports Arena on October 20 and 21. Fans can attend in person by buying tickets online, or they can watch the live broadcast on Mixer. Online viewers will have the chance to earn rewards and vote on race features.

This season’s championship began on April 2. The competition is split into two series, each consisting of seven weeks of ranked events at locations including Seattle and Mexico City. Drivers earn points and climb the leaderboard as they go. Then there is a live playoff event with a prize pool of $75,000, before the top two dozen drivers go through to the final in London.

“Prepare for some of the most exhilarating racing to date as the top ForzaRC drivers from around the world go head to head in the Forza Racing World Championship,” a spokesman for esports company Gfinity said.

“After months of competition the pool of hopeful drivers has been narrowed down to the top 24, each earning themselves a coveted spot on the grid. Their incredible skill has gotten them this far, but can it get them across the finish line first? With a $100,000 prize pool and the 2018 Forza Racing World Champion title at stake you can be sure this will be a race to remember.
