Chelsea to maintain lead at the top of Premier League, while Liverpool and Spurs snap at their heels, Bing predicts

Chelsea will maintain their nine-point at the top of the Premier League when they beat Arsenal this weekend, Bing has predicted.

Antonio Conte’s Blues are expected to comfortably beat the Gunners – Bing’s most searched-for team in the past week – with a 71% chance of victory at Stamford Bridge. Arsène Wenger’s team will subsequently drop to fourth place and remain on 47 points.

North London rivals Tottenham are expected to retain second place, with an 86% chance of a victory against Middlesbrough at White Hart Lane. While both teams have had a fairly even mixture of results against each other in past meetings, Spurs’ current form, coupled with Middlesbrough’s long stint at the bottom end of the table, makes this an easy prediction for Microsoft’s search engine.

Arsenal’s loss will be Liverpool’s gain. If Jürgen Klopp’s men beat Hull City away as expected, they will move up to third place on 49 points.

Manchester United will continue their struggle to break into the top four, thanks to a firmly predicted draw against last season’s champions Leicester City. All eyes will look to captain Wayne Rooney to produce some much-needed magic, following his record breaking 250th club goal last week.

Further down the table, there’s good news for Crystal Palace fans, whose team is predicted to pick up a win against Sunderland at home, bumping them up from the relegation zone to 15th place.

In addition to its match predictions, Bing has also kept track of the most-searched managers and players. Conte continues to led the top of the manager search results, with 57% more search results than second placed manager Tony Pulis.
