Liverpool to beat Everton in Merseyside derby this weekend, Bing predicts

Liverpool will beat arch-rivals Everton at Anfield this weekend, Bing has predicted.

The Merseyside derby – the longest running top-flight rivalry in England – will see the Reds kick off with a 66% chance of winning, according to Microsoft’s search engine, with only a 17% chance of Everton grabbing a victory.

History favours Liverpool, who have won 21 out of the last 49 Premier League matches between the two teams. With key defenders Seamus Coleman and Ramiro Funes Mori both missing the game due to injury, Jürgen Klopp’s men will fancy their chances this Saturday.

Elsewhere, the standings remain relatively unchanged, with Chelsea once again maintaining their 10-point lead ahead of second-placed Spurs, with both teams expected to pick up wins against Crystal Palace and Burnley, respectively.

Manchester United’s expected victory against West Brom will bring them slightly closer to the top four, while Arsenal’s expected loss (38% chance) against Manchester City will see them edge further away from finishing in the Champions League qualification spots.

Bournemouth, Burnley and Crystal Palace will drop further down the table, thanks to their respective losses against Southampton, Tottenham and Chelsea, while the bottom three relegation contenders – Hull, Middlesbrough and Sunderland – remain stationary.

In addition to predicting the outcome of future matches, Bing also tracked the most searched-for players and managers. Everton’s Seamus Coleman edged out Manchester United’s Bastian Schweinsteiger this week, as a result of his serious leg injury.

Chelsea’s Antonio Conte continued to be the most searched-for manager, with 69% more searches than Klopp.

Bing created its predictions using a complex algorithm that analyses player performance.
