Manchester City to take step closer to Premier League title by beating Chelsea this weekend, Bing predicts

Premier League front-runners Manchester City have a 58% chance of beating Chelsea at the Etihad this Sunday, Bing has predicted.

While Chelsea fans might take comfort in the fact that their team won this fixture 3-1 last season, they also haven’t won back-to-back league matches away against City since a run of four victories between 2005 and 2008.

A win for City will see the club start next week with 78 points, while the loss for Antonio Conte’s side will see them drop further away from the top four, to fifth place.

Rivals Manchester United look set to remain in second place, 16 points behind City, after netting three points against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

Third-placed Liverpool also look set to put the pressure on United, with a predicted win against Newcastle set to put them just two points behind the Red Devils.

Tottenham will also be holding on to fourth place after a heavily expected victory against Huddersfield, while their North London rivals Arsenal swap with Chelsea to take fifth place, after their predicted win against Brighton.

Elsewhere in the table, most teams will remain where they are, with Watford and Southampton joining Arsenal as the only teams who have moved up a position, after their respective predicted wins against West Brom and Stoke on Saturday.

Everton and Newcastle, on the other hand, are expected to join Chelsea as the only other teams that will drop positions in the table, after losing to Burnley and Liverpool, respectively.

The relegation zone – consisting of Swansea, Stoke and West Brom – also remains unchanged, after all three teams are expected to lose their matches.
