Manchester rivals to remain at top of Premier League while Spurs overtake Chelsea this weekend, Bing predicts
Manchester City and Manchester United will remain at the top of the Premier League this weekend after wins for both teams, Bing has predicted.
United, who have been given a strong 89% chance of beating Crystal Palace – who remain at the bottom of the table with zero points – are expected to have a far easier match than their Manchester rivals.
City face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge – a challenging game in which Microsoft’s search engine gives the visitors a 50% chance of victory.
Given that Chelsea have won 24 out of the previous 40 matches against City, Pep Guardiola’s men will certainly have to play well if they want to match United with 16 points at the top of the table.
Chelsea’s predicted loss, coupled with Tottenham’s expected win against Huddersfield, will see the Blues drop down to fourth place, with Spurs leapfrogging them into third.
North London rivals Arsenal are expected to move up to fifth following their predicted victory against Brighton at the Emirates on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Liverpool and Watford will drop down the table after their respective draws against Newcastle and West Brom.
Further down, Leicester City, who have had a poor season so far, are strongly favoured against Bournemouth. A win would push them up to 15th place, and increase the gap to the relegation zone. West Ham, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace remain at the bottom.
