Manchester United will edge closer to top four, Bing predicts

Manchester United will edge closer to a top four place when they beat Hull City at Old Trafford, Bing predicts.

The Red Devils are expected to sweep aside Hull, with a 78% chance of a victory for José Mourinho’s men – an unsurprising prediction, given that United have won eight out of the last 10 engagements between the two teams.

Crucially, Liverpool are expected to lose to Chelsea (52% chance of a loss), which would not only see the Blues increase their lead at the top of the Premier League, but also result in Jurgen Klopp’s Reds dropping down to fifth place, with sixth-placed Manchester United not far behind.

The clash between north and south at Anfield is expected to be tight however. In their past 49 meetings, both teams have walked away with 19 wins and 11 draws, so there is still a chance for Liverpool to spoil Manchester United’s top four bid.

Rivals Manchester City also look set for a win (62%) against West Ham, which will see them retain their current fifth-placed position, while dropping West Ham down to 12th in the table.

North London enemies Arsenal and Tottenham both look set to retain their second and third-placed positions respectively, with the Gunners set to smash through Watford with an 86% chance of victory. Spurs look set to have an equally easy time, with an 80% chance of beating Sunderland.

Further down the table, Bournemouth are expected to beat Crystal Palace, propelling them up from 12th to ninth place, leaving Palace in the relegation zone with Hull City and Sunderland once again, with 16 points.

Bing, Microsoft’s search engine, has created its predictions thanks to a complex algorithm which analyses player performance.
