Gears 5 is the latest instalment in the hugely popular Gears of War series. The game tells the story of humanity’s fight against a subterranean reptilian enemy known as the Locust Horde and their counterparts the Lambent and the Swarm.

The latest game follows Kait Diaz as she seeks to discover the origins of the Swarm in a campaign that is set to be the largest in the series.

Tattooing has become a tradition among Gears gamers, with many opting to display their love of the series with ink of COG tags, Lancers and more. The announcement of Gears 4 saw Xbox help a small number of fans get tattoos to show what the series meant to them.

For Gears 5, more fans will be offered the opportunity to get tattoos, with Gears Ink events happening in London, Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris, Mexico City and Melbourne.

The tattoo artists for the London event will be:

  • Clara Sinclair, who is based at Mo Coppoletta’s tattoo shop, The Family Business, in London. She is known for her stunning ornamental tattoos that feature hearts, jewels and filigrees.
  • Matt Pettis, who is based at Through My Third Eye in London. His blackwork style is a mixture of eye-catching black tint areas with delicate elements.
  • Emma Bundonis, who is also based at Through My Third Eye. Her style is full of heart-warming monochromatic tattoos with incredible details.

The pop-up events will also give fans the chance to play Gear 5’s Horde, Escape and Versus game modes, as well as a first look at the main campaign.
