Your Doritos craving could win you an Xbox One X

UK gamers could win an Xbox One X by buying a packet of Doritos.

The tortilla chip maker has teamed up with Xbox to give away a version of the world’s most powerful console, plus an extra controller and five games every day until the end of the year.

Thousands of other prizes, including digital game downloads, Xbox Live Gold subscriptions and Game Pass memberships, can also be won as part of the competition.

Gamers in the UK and Ireland need to buy promotional packs of Doritos and enter their details and the unique code on the pack at to instantly see if they have won.

“The campaign is an amazing opportunity for Doritos and Xbox fans to get their hands on the world’s most powerful console, the Xbox One X,” said Jack White, Xbox and New Devices Partnerships and Events Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “It’s great to be working with Doritos in this way, and we’re really pleased to be able to offer such a fantastic set of prizes every day.”

Doritos has also filmed a series of interactive videos starring three Youtubers that can be found on the Xbox dashboard from November. As part of Doritos’s #PlayBold campaign, Ali A, Jelly and AlphaSniper have been challenged to play Xbox games before trying to match their achievements in real life. Ali A will drive a Nissan GTR around the Nurburgring, in Germany, on Forza Motorsport 7 before attempting to beat his time in a real car; Jelly will play Sea of Thieves before captaining a pirate crew on water; and AlphaSniper will play the rugby-inspired Grifball in Halo 5: Guardians before taking to the field in person.

The Xbox One X will be released on November 7, and the console can be pre-ordered now. It offers 40% more power than rival devices, while the six-teraflop engine and built-in supersampling gives gamers better textures, smoother framerates and faster load times, even on a 1080p TV. Players can record game clips in 4K at 60 frames per second and capture 4K screenshots.

As well as several new releases, more than 150 new and existing titles will be enhanced for the Xbox One X. These include Forza Motorsport 7, Halo 5: Guardians, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, FIFA 18, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Star Wars Battlefront II.

A special Xbox One X Project Scorpio edition of the new console became the fastest-selling Xbox pre-order ever when it was unveiled in August.
